ABOUT MIDLAND HILLS

Founded in 1922, Midland Hills Country Club (MHCC) is a community situated on approximately 380 acres of rolling woodlands, lakes, and streams.

Located on the edge of the Shawnee National Forest in Makanda, Illinois, MHCC abounds with natural beauty. Formerly the site of a nine-hole golf course, the property has since been converted into woodland trails and features a large pollinator plot. The site adjoins additional woodland trails and ponds, with a large lake as its centerpiece. The lake features an indoor pavilion for public gatherings and a small beach suitable for swimming, kayaking, and canoeing.
